What are school hours?
School hours are 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Operational hours start at 7:30 a.m. and extend to 5:30 p.m. Students should arrive on time by 8:00 a.m. Early dismissals require a written medical note.
Are meals provided at the school?
Yes. Thanks to the Community Eligibility Program, every student receives free breakfast and lunch prepared onsite daily.
Is there tuition?
No. VMA is a tuition-free public charter school serving students from Manatee and Sarasota counties.
Is transportation provided?
Yes. We offer transportation options for students in both Manatee and Sarasota counties.
Are uniforms required?
Yes. All students are required to wear school uniforms Monday through Friday. Uniforms help maintain focus, reduce distractions, and support a culture of pride and discipline.
Uniform items include:
VMA polo shirt (with logo)
White, gray, or light yellow collared polo
Khaki pants or shorts (no cargo shorts)
Solid white or black socks
Brown or black belt
Uniforms must be tidy, clean, and in good condition. They are available for purchase through the front office.
